April 9/15 Greetings and Salutations! I'm Angela and I currently live in Greeley, Colorado with my husband and two young boys (12 years old and 9 years old). I was born in San Diego, California and grew up an Army brat. I've lived in quite a few places as a result. My folks split in 1981 and I grew up in Pueblo, Colorado. I spent about 9 1/2 years in the US Navy and worked on air traffic control radars as an Electronics Technician.
I started watching NASCAR back in 1996 and the first driver I had noticed was Jeff Burton. At the time he was driving the 99 Exide car for Roush Racing. In 2009, I noticed the Crew Chief of the Lowe's 48 team, Chad Knaus. It was at that time that I decided I needed a backup team. So, I was thrilled when I learned that Jimmie is from the same area of California as I am.
Since my first driver no longer races full time, Jimmie has been named as my primary full time driver. Not only is Jimmie very good at racing but he is well spoken and a credit to the sport. His Crew Chief Chad is cunning, clever, ambitious, and highly competitive. Those two make for an extremely competitive combination. I wish them nothing but the best of luck in their pursuit of a seventh Cup Championship.
I've only been to one race so far but it was a memorable one. It was the June 2014 Michigan race. I was thrilled to see Jimmie win in person. I even took my one of a kind handmade crocheted Chad Plushie. I made him in honour of my favourite Crew Chief Chad Knaus. I like to think Chad Plushie's presence helped Jimmie to win his first race at Michigan.
I have many interests outside of watching NASCAR. These include reading, baking, and a variety of crafts. These crafts include knitting, crochet, sewing, beadwork, spinning, and dyeing yarn. I've also been known to watch baseball (NY Mets), football (San Diego Chargers), and college basketball (Duke Blue Devils).
